Purpose
MDF Rose Engine 2.0
Dust Hood
This is a dust collection hood designed for use on the MDF Rose Engine 2.0s. It has the center of the collection hole aligned with the center of the spindle, and is designed to be attached to the dust collector with a 4” hose.
If this were a single piece, it would be too big for my 3D printer. Thusly, it is made as two pieces which are attached together using screws.
3D Printer Notes
This worked as expected on my Bambu Labs P1S, and the MagJigs slipped into a snug fitting. If you find that the opening for the MagJigs are too small, you may need to change the openings in the STL files before importing them into the slicer you use. The Fusion 360 file is provided for that purpose.

Top Piece
For the top piece, I recommend you align this so that
- the big opening is up and
- the opening for the hose is down.
This way the supports are affixed to the back of the piece, and the opening for dust flowing into the dust collection system will be smoother.
Bottom Piece
For the bottom piece,
- I recommend you place the bottom down.
- Be careful when removing the supports. It is easy to break off the posts used to help align the MagJig 60s.
