Stepper Motor End Caps with RJ-45 Plugs

Purpose

Stepper Motor End Cap

These were designed by Ed French for use on the end of stepper motors. The opening on the side is for an RJ-45 jack to be used. It provides a clean look with a simple jack which allows an off-the-shelf CAT-5 or CAT-6 Ethernet cable to used to connect the stepper motor to the controls box.

3D Printer Notes

Ed recommends printing using a support enforcer block for the center. If the full top support is used, removing the supports is not easy.

Other Required Materials

The RJ45 panel adapter fits this connector from AliExpress vendor RTELECS: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832864320064.html?search_direct=true&spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US

If using a different connector, you may need to model a new adapter. The adapter will fit flush in the rectangular opening in the endcap.
